Longtime news design manager Scott Goldman — for the past two years, director of content for Advance Digital in Jersey City, N.J. — announced today via social media that he’s moving back to Indianapolis, where he’ll become senior director of content strategy for Angie’s List.

Scott writes:

I’m very excited for the tremendous opportunity to still work in content but learn about a whole new industry.

It’s very tough to leave news … and it’s very tough to leave Advance. I’ve worked with such great people all across the country, both on my fabulous National Desk team and at the local markets. I will miss working with you all, and it has truly been an honor.

He starts his new job on Sept. 22.

A 1990 graduate of Syracuse University, Scott spent two years as the Sunday sports editor for the Post-Star of Glens Falls, N.Y., before moving to the Charlotte Observer in 1994. He moved to the Washington Post in 1999 and then to the Indianapolis Star in 2004 as assistant managing editor. He served as president of the Society for News Design in 2006. He moved to Advance in 2012.
