Christoph Fuhrmans is a web producer for the New York Times. A 1996 graduate of the University of Kansas, Christoph spent a year as a copy editor for the Island Packet of Hilton Head, S.C., before moving to a sports design spot at the Savannah Morning News. He became a sports designer at the Detroit Free Press in 2000 and then sports design leader at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in 2005. He moved to the web side in 2008 as a sports producer for the AJC. He moved to the Times in 2011. Find his Twitter feed here. Christoph turns 42 today.


Caity Pelliccia is a clinical associate at the Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia. A 2009 graduate of the University of North Carolina, Caity interned at the News & Observer of Raleigh, N.C., the Hartford Courant and the Dallas Morning News before joining the Roanoke (Va.) Times in 2009, where she designed and co-edited the Edge, a section aimed at high schoolers. She left the Times in 2010 in order to go to nursing school. Find her Twitter feed here. Dale Peskin is founder, principal and curator at iFOCOS and We Media Group of Reston, Va. A 1972 graduate of Youngstown State University, Dale spent seven years as deputy managing editor of the Detroit News and then five more as vice president of Belo Interactive and the Dallas Morning News. Mary Jane Park is a staff writer for the Tampa Bay Times and editor of the TimesBay magazine. A graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C., Mary Jane worked at the Salisbury (N.C.) Chris Pirillo is a blogger and TV host and principal of Gnomies. A native of Des Moines, Iowa, Chris attended the University of Northern Iowa. In 1996, he created LockerGnome, a technology mailing list, which has grown into a bit of an empire for him. He spent two years as the host of Call for Help on TechTV. Ananda Spadt is an assistant art director for Meredith Publications in Des Moines, Iowa. A 2006 graduate of the University of Nebraska, Ananda worked at the Kitsap Sun in Bremerton, Wash., and then the Hartford Courant before moving back home to Nebraska in 2008. She illustrated and designed features pages for the Omaha World-Herald before moving over to the magazine side.
